Academy Cricket Coach – Datchet Cricket Club.
Job Description
We require a committed and confident Coach to attend our training sessions and possibly some matches to further develop our Academy players and teams. They will need to provide support to some local schools.
Specific coaching requirements:
- To plan weekly coaching outdoor net sessions, during the period from the middle of April until the end of July as a minimum, on Friday evenings between 17.45 -20.45.
- To plan and champion the profile of Datchet CC within local schools and community. To develop a plan for attracting more girl’s to Datchet CC to play cricket.
- To be available to provide coaching at local schools as required.
- To have knowledge and understanding of ECB Child Welfare procedures in relation to coaching responsibilities.
- To conduct sessions in accordance with the appropriate ECB guidelines and good practice.
- To encourage players to act in a sportsmanlike manner and ensure that the spirit of the game be promoted.
- To share good practice with other club coaches.
- To present monthly progress reports to the cricket committee.
Personal requirements qualifications and experience:
- Experienced Level 3 qualified coach preferred.
- Up to date DBS, Safeguarding Young Cricketers Certificate First Aid and public liability insurance. 3. Experience of coaching at club level and in both public and private schools
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Remuneration
The position offers a competitive salary with potential to supplement income through private coaching and other possible opportunities.
Timing of appointment
Datchet CC is looking to make this appointment as soon as possible with the chosen candidate ready to commence in April 2020.
